This year, the Montreux Comedy Awards will bestow prizes in seven categories open to comedy professionals from all over the world. Over 200 artists and producers from Europe, the United States, South America, and Africa will be represented at the Festival. Short lists of prize contenders will be established, and the finalists’ creations will be put to a vote by an international jury presided over by the director Patrice Leconte.
On December 2, 2011, the lucky winners will be honored at a gala event for top professionals in the entertainment industry. In addition to saluting the talents of comedy in all its forms and styles, this ceremony will be an exciting opportunity for producers and artists to make each other’s acquaintance, exchange ideas, and explore new projects together.
